Alfador flinched at the last option. “T-Ten thousand lightning bolts? Uh … The other two sound okay.” Less life threatening. “I don’t really know. How about you pick? You are the trainer, after all …”
“Oh?” She breathed with a confused look, “That’s the easiest of all the options, you must really be into the whole training experience then I suppose. Well, if that’s what you want them I guess a good place to start would be the endurance training. After that the field operations should feel like a breeze.”
So it’ll be harder …? He shook his head. No. I can’t hesitate. I have to do this.
“My element? I don’t really know it … We had to have magic to live in Zeal, but the house pets didn’t really get training.”
“Hmmm. Well, if that’s the case then I guess we’ll learn your element through trial by fire,” she said with a gleam in her eye, “So, which course would you prefer? Field training, endurance training, or the trial of ten-thousand lighting bolts?”
Alfador winced a bit at her enthusiam, but he genuinely thought about trusting her after seeing the result. She seemed to know what she was doing. I should try. Maybe Magus will start trusting me more if I help him. Whatever that ‘help’ may be …
“Fine. But I do have one question. Can you train … Magic?
Janice leapt into the air, excited by his positive response, “Yay! This is gonna be so fun, you’re just gonna lov— Magic? Sure, that’s simple but a bit harder then my typical training. Just tell me your element and I can whip you up a training regimen in a heartbeat.
“Here we go!” she said with a giggle.
“Oh, and here’s what he looked like before the training.”

“What in the world is a taurminitour?”
“What!? Taurminator is only one of the coolest monsters ever! Oh my goodness, I bet I could make you as deadly as my little baby in just a few days if you’d only take my special training course.”
Janice quickly pulls out a sloppy looking, little, notebook and starts flipping though its pages, “Here, just give me a sec to look him up in my stat book, then you can decide if you want to take the special training or not~”
“Magus! Who’s side are you on?! I’m a damned cat, not a warrior!”
“But you could be both! Just like my darling Taurminator!”

“Well, where I come from a beast implies something rabid or diseased. And flabby means that you are fat. And as you can see, I am neither of those things. Now, please put me down.” He struggled a bit again with a pout on his face.
“Then it would seen that we simply misunderstood ease other, but if you’d like then I’ll stop using those words to describe you,” as he began to struggle more she loosened her hold some, “Oh fine, but you have to promise not to run away, okay?”
“Ahh, finally! Someone who gets what I’m trying to say!” she cried out with a smile,” I’ll do my best! Hopefully by the time you get him back he’ll be a lean, mean, fighting machine~” Janice finished with a wink.
Alfador was taken aback by Janice’s bluntness. “How many times do I have to say it?! I’m not flabby OR a beast!”
“But you are both of those things! A beast is just a creature who is not a plant, at least that’s the meaning where I come from, and you are not in shape which makes you flabby,” she scolded in a playful tone, “But, if you don’t like those words then what words do you like? “
“S-Savage? Excuse me? I’m a part of a royal family, you’ve no right to refer to me in such a way!
“Awww! I’m sorry little kitty, I didn’t mean to offend you. Though, that does explain why you’re a little flabbier then the average beast.”
